I hope you don’t mind, but I linked to you on my blog.
Question: Since the entries aren’t dated, I am uncertain how you are telling this story. I was only introduced to it last night, and have already read through #38. Are you writing one entry per day, or more? Do you have plans to turn this into a novel? Is it already? If so, this would TOTALLY be the type of book that I would be unable to put down until I finished it.
Alli Says:
May 11th, 2005 at 2:30 pmVisit Alli
Its approximately dated as one entry per day there. The title 63 days is more of a timeline of how much time I spent there. I could go over 63 entries…most likely.
The book is in the works. I’m really working hard on it right now. I’m so glad you’re reading, Jes. Keep it up kiddo, I’m still working.

I was just introduced to your blog yesterday and I spent most of last night reading all the entries to get up to speed. The horror of your story is so outrageous that you know it’s true, nobody could make this up. I voted for you and I hope you win.

First of all, I found out about your website from my friend, Jes. I immediately read every entry you have and digested it all. I immediately wanted to throw up to think of the horrors you went through. I can not believe how hard this all must have been and how brave you are to be writing about it now. I agree that you should definitely make this into a book and maybe even a movie. You have an amazing story to tell and you need to reach as many people as you possibly can so they can see the travesties that occured and continue to occur when people think they can find a “quick fix” for something. Best of luck and I’ll be checking frequently to see the outcome! My thoughts and prayers are with you….

Both of the top blogs in the contest are good, no crap-throwing from either side because that spoils the whole thing and makes all sides look like ego-trips!
I voted for Alli because I love the blog, however, it is a MAJOR disappointment to see either side stoop.
Let’s quit advertising for votes everyone and just read some awesome stuff!
take care,
K.

I just found your site the other day and I have taken the day yesterday (when I was at work of course) to read your entire blog. I am totally on the edge of my seating and I can’t wait to read more. As someone already said you have got to turn your story into book. It would be a best seller in no time at all.
I do however want to say how sorry I am that this happened to you. I cannot imagine going through the things you did and your strength and beauty show through in your writing!
Do you mind if I link your site from mine?

Hey Chris, yes I have seen all the rules.
I just was somewhat disappointed when I saw someone’s rough reference above to the Lawrence-based blogger. Campaigning is good, but if it becomes too much of an entity in and of itself, and moves from being a peripheral focus to a central one for a blog, it is rather disappointing and a little bit childish. Two friends of mine about laughed their asses off the other night when they came across a blog in which someone advertises to vote for “63days.com” mainly because Alli needs the money for a divorce; that’s not really a dignified way to advertise.

I think I’m ok advertizing. They encourage it, so I posted about it. Thats all.
Chris Says:

And buying a “big-ass” bottle of whiskey and drinking to everyones health, is a dignified way to advertise. I am sure both are just jokes!!!!!!!! Allis and the other!! I saw one mention of that other blog…but you should check out “that” other blog and see how many times they have mentioned 63 days. Anyway this isn’t supposed to be a fight or anything. I am just defending Alli…she is not the one that even mentioned anything on here.

Hey, folks, just wanted to say I’m not advocating crap-slinging on my side, either! I ADORE Alli’s blog, and if she wins, I’ll be tickled. Anything said by my (sometimes questionable) fans denigrating this site doesn’t have my endorsement. All is meant in light-hearted fun on both ends, I’m sure. Good luck to you!

I saw the Bryant Gumble special you spoke of below. I have to tell you that at the time, I had a suspicion that the kids were told what to say.
As a nervous new mother, I have a question. What would you have done in your parent’s place? How would you have gotten through to your “troubled” daughter? I’ve never been too impressed with the idea of a boot camp, but I wonder what a real alternative might be for those parents who feel they have no other choice.
Your story makes me very sad. I hope you can find some peace, and keep writing.

Thank you so much for sharing your story. Reliving this horrible experience must be painful, I applaud you for your courage.
Since I have finished reading your story I’ve went to the links that you’ve provided and am appauled that these people weren’t put under the jail.
Karma has a way of coming back to people… one way or another.
May all the angels that fell victim to these sadistic b-stards rest in peace.
Peace and love to you, God Bless.

Alli,
This is one of the most horrific stories I have ever heard in my life but you, girl, are so brave for getting this out here, letting people know what REALLY goes on in some of these places. I hope you are healing somewhat with the passing time and maybe writing this will help. You are in my prayers. I haven’t stopped thinking about your story since I started reading it a few days ago. I can’t wait for each update and I voted for you and I am encouraging everyone else to! Good luck and I wish you all the best.

On a lark, I clicked on your flickr profile and I noticed a link that I didn’t notice before. I am hooked and I’ve been reading all day.
I would vote but it looks like you already deservedly won.
I have your whole story playing out in my mind. I have Scarlett Johansson playing you and R. Lee Ermey playing Murdock.
