Or does this season just KILL you? I’m trying to balance work and kids and husband and morning sickness and dad and hospital and writing. I lack in the last one, I’m so sorry. I’m working on it, and tomorrow is my day off. Lets see if I can crank one out by noon, shall we?
Love ya,
Alli

I agree, this season is killer, at least you’ve got stuff to keep you busy, hopefully it’ll go by faster.

Take your time with it… I think everybody else is too busy going “chrismas-crazy” to notice if you don’t post…
I hope you and yours have a good christmas, Alli. Happy holidays.

No…it isn’t just you. It’s overwhelming. Now when I put up the tree, I can’t help but think about the time it will take to put it all away again. When I see a beautiful, big house I think “Who cleans all those windows?” Even if you hire someone to do it for you, you have to put in some long hours at work to pay for all that. Like the Eastern philosophers say: We don’t own our things…our things own us.
I’ve started saying: “No. I can’t take on another thing.” My New Year’s resolution is I’m sitting this next one out.
Here’s wishing you a healthy and unhurried and simple New Year!

Merry Christmas Alli! Nobody gets anything done this time of year. We decided to make gift baskets for our families this year and it took us forever. No time for anything else. Barely enough time for that and work too. I love Christmas itself, but the weeks leading up to it I could sure do without.

I always find this season hard.
I really hope you speak to a prosecutor. Many states have extended their statutes of limitations and I’d love to see all of these guys nailed.
Do you have a book ready to start shopping to agents?
Bless your heart.

Simply put, this is the most amazingly horrific story I’ve ever read. I’ve read it, start to finish, and have moved only about three times in the last four hours. Congratulations on the new little one- and I’m looking forward to the next installment of this horror story.
You’re an amazing woman, Alli, one that can endure so much and still find love and forgiveness in her heart- there’s a special place in Heaven for you survivors, I’m sure of it.

You decided to get divorced on June 25th and were already free to remarry by September 10th? Wow, your state must be different from mine. And you didn’t post anything about getting married, which would be how heather and the rest of us missed it. In fact, in November, you say you’ve been gone taking your kids on a trip and how hard it’s been going through a divorce, but no mention of gettng married. When were you diagnosed bipolar? Just curious.

karibou,
My ex-husband and I decided to get divorced in 2004 (where did you get the “decided in June part”?) and it was final in June. Got remarried in September to a man I was seeing during my separation (of more than a year which is perfectly legal in Nevada).
I was not diagnosed as bi-polar. I just don’t tell everybody every detail of my life. Maybe if I made a daily blog about when I eat and what I drink and when I sleep people wouldn’t worry so much about criticizing my personal life. Thanks for your concern though.
Happy Holidays,
Alli

There is this dynamic that happens with those who blog and their blogging audience. After a bit the audience sees the blogger as being an entertainer that is there for their own amusement/edification/education and that now they can hope to somehow control the content, direction and even the life of the blogger through their comments.
You have a large fan base (audience). Some of them grow restless and some of them are in that mode of trying to control the process.
Do not grow disenhearted. Most of us (faithful, supportive audience) are patient and able to wait for you to write at your own pace.
Do not feel pressured by us. This is your blog. Blog when and what you wish to blog.
Happy Holidays!

Hey Alli,
I just started reading this last night. I stayed up way too late and read some more before school. I even went in the library during lunch to read some more but the stupid school blocked it saying it was a personal site. It is a personal site but this one shouldn’t be blocked. I need to get back to work and homework but I felt I should let you know how amazed and touched I am by your story. Thank you for sharing this and I look forward to reading your next posts. I don’t know what to say other than what everyone has already said. I’m sorry for what happened and I wish you the best.
Thank you,
Matt Jones

I’m just curious…did any of the kids ever try to physically fight back? Were there just too many drill seargents around all the time? I’d personally like to find the one’s that touched you and give them a good thumping.
